An independent community foundation has been named charity of the year within the county.
Herefordshire Community Foundation, a charity that raises funds locally and give out grants to those in need around the county, has picked up the prestigious title in this year's Herefordshire Business Awards.
The awards were held on October 12. HCF took the award ahead of fellow Charity of the Year 2024 finalists Herefordshire Vennture and Herefordshire Young and Young Adult Carers Community Interest Company.
Chief executive Officer of HCF, Bridie Sullivan said: "After 22 years supporting local community projects, it's fantastic to receive this recognition for our work. The trustees and staff team are thrilled."
"We work hard to ensure every donation makes a difference and goes where it is most needed. If you're a local business, family or individual - or if you have connections with the county - we'd love to hear from you.
"Together we can make Herefordshire a better place to live, work, learn and play."

The charity added that HCF is a "secure and trusted channel" for charitable giving across the county and that they continue to work with donors and key partners to fund grassroots community projects, connecting those with important causes.
Since 2007, HCF has awarded more than £7 million to a wide range of projects, including over £812,000 in 2022/23.
Susan Brace, director and founder of fellow finalists Herefordshire Young and Young Adult Carers CIC, said that the Herefordshire charity was a "very worthy winner", and that HCF had given them their very first grant.
"We would have struggled without that support. Congratulations."
