On arrival, crews found a car and a motorbike had been involved in a crash, the spokesperson said.
The motorcyclist, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said officers and firefighters were called to the crash this morning (October 11).
The road was closed between Alton Court Road and Trumpet Cross Road. The highways agency are now managing the ongoing road closure, due to a fuel spillage, the spokesperson said.
The busy road leads from the A438 Trumpet junction to the A449.
