Emergency services descended on a south Hereford road today, to rescue a woman from the nearby water.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew were called to Outfall Works Road in Hereford just after 08.30 am this morning (October 2), after a safety concern was raised.
Crew from Hereford Fire Station plus boat crews, a rescue dog, and an urban search team were called to the road near the River Wye, to rescue a woman from the water's edge.
The woman was handed over to the care of the ambulance service and police before the incident was marked as pending closure just before 9.30 am.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of concern for welfare near to Thorn Business Park, Hereford at 7.42 am.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene where, on arrival, ambulance staff found one patient, a female, at 7.42 am who was treated for minor injuries and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital.”
