A man has been killed on a Herefordshire main road after being hit by a lorry.

The incident, which happened at around 7.30am yesterday morning (September 7) occurred on the A49 between the turning for the A466 and the turning for Callow.

Police have said that a HGV lorry collided with a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man in his 70’s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the fatal collision.
