A RESTAURANT in Hereford's Old Market shopping centre has permanently closed.
Wildwood, an Italian restaurant chain in Newmarket Street, closed its Hereford branch today (September 6).
The restaurant said: "With a heavy heart, our Hereford branch is closing today, Friday, September 6. We have taken the difficult decision to permanently close our doors."
It was revealed that the restaurant was at risk earlier this year, when Wildwood's parent company Tasty revealed plans to shut a raft of sites as part of a major restructuring.
But the building will not be empty for long, with plans for it to soon be replaced by a new steakhouse called En Steak.

En Steak promises locally-sourced Herefordshire steaks cooked over cherry wood-infused charcoal.
The menu will include a variety of cuts, as well as a selection of seafood, vegetarian options and much more to cater to all tastes.
En Steak will be run by the En Group, which already operates En BBQ, also based in the Old Market.
