On Bank Holiday Monday, August 26, my daughter and I planned to get the 13.35 train from Ledbury station to Paddington.

We were about to reach the bus stop at the Tarrington Arms at 12.33 to get the service at 12.40. Imagine our dismay when the bus to Ledbury sailed past at 12.33! As this is a two-hourly bus service, we had no hope of catching our train.
First, drivers must wait at bus stops if they arrive early. Secondly, bus services must be reliable, frequent and focus on customer service. County, town and city services must be half-hourly to enable people to choose the bus and leave their cars at home, reducing traffic congestion and air pollution.
