TWO fire crews were called to a busy street in Hereford city centre after reports of a fire.

At 6.21pm last night, a fire in a plant pot in Widemarsh Street was reported to Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
It was extinguished before the fire service arrived at the scene, with the crews then investigating the incident upon their arrival.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) said: "Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called at 6.21pm on September 3 to Widemarsh Street, Hereford. A fire in a plant pot had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service who carried out investigation using a thermal imaging camera, a gas monitor and a triple extension ladder. There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required. The incident was marked as pending closure at 7.27pm."
