HEREFORDSHIRE'S NHS trust has given a major update on its emergency unit.
The Wye Valley NHS trust has released a statement regarding on-going works within the emergency department, that could affect visitors to the county hospital.

The trust said that its emergency department will be temporarily moved whilst “extensive refurbishment” takes place on the site, adding that people should not visit the department unless it’s “absolutely necessary”.

The trust issued a statement regarding the temporary measures, saying: “From Friday, September 6, our emergency department will be undergoing extensive refurbishment as a result of this, the department will be moved to temporary accommodation.
“ED reception and waiting room will remain unaffected and temporary signage will be in place.
“Please do not to attend the department unless absolutely necessary. If you need medical help/advice use NHS 111 online or contact your local pharmacy. If you have a life threatening condition call 999”.
