A café is opening today (August 22) on a Hereford city centre street, and has been opened by a famous face.
La Dolce Vita, in Church street, celebrated its official opening this morning, with crowds gathering for the special moment.
Bez from the famous rock band, the Happy Mondays, who lives in Herefordshire, has descended on the coffee shop for its first day in business.
The exciting new coffee shop, which is run by Giovanni Calandra, who also owns Calandra’s Menswear nearby on Church Street, and his partner Layla Razvari, is welcoming its customers in today, to sample some of their delicious new menu.
In a statement on their newly created Instagram they said:
"Our new independently owned coffee shop will be opening on Thursday August 22. We are located on Church Street in the heart of Hereford.
"We are looking forward to welcoming you to our coffee shop for you to enjoy our breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, cream teas, cakes, pastries, coffees, teas and so much more!"
The coffee shop was previously Polly's at No 10, owned by the same couple.
