AN ATTACKER has been handed a hefty fine after an assault in Hereford.
Christopher King entered a guilty plea to one count of assault by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford this month.
The court heard from prosecutor Camila Toscano that the 35-year-old had attacked a man in Hereford on May 26. This is an offence under section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
King, of Drummond Road, Leicester, represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read of the law firm GC Law, was fined £530 for the assault. He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation to the victim.

He must also pay court costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £212 victim surcharge.
King’s guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when imposing his sentence.
He must pay his court bill off in monthly installments beginning on September 4.
