A DRINK-DRIVER has been handed a ban and a hefty fine after he was caught in Herefordshire while over the alcohol limit.
Paul Oneill entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on August 7.
The court heard from prosecutor Camila Toscano that the 51-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Kia at Moreton Business Park in Moreton-on-Lugg while over the limit on June 3.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 62 micrograms (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This exceeded the limit, which is 35 mg.
Oneill, of Ludlow Road, Leominster, was represented in court by defence solicitor Chris Read of the law firm GC Law.

He was fined £369 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.
He has the opportunity to complete a drink-driving awareness course by August 3 next year which would reduce his ban by 18 weeks.
He must also pay costs of £85 and a £148 victim surcharge.
