A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been ordered to pay costs after failing to turn up at probation appointments when he was handed a community order.
Sean James admitted one count of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford earlier this month.
The court heard from probation officers that James was supposed to attend appointments on May 8 and May 14, but failed to turn up.

The court heard the 34-year-old, of Barnett Avenue, Ledbury, failed to attend the appointments and gave no reasonable excuse for his absence. He did not give the required evidence to justify missing the appointment.
Magistrates ordered James to pay £60 in costs and said he must carry out unpaid work for 80 hours within the next 12 months.
James last appeared in court in December last year for causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to businesses in Ledbury.
