A MAN who was caught trying to break into a car in a Herefordshire village has appeared in court.
Mark Hewitt, 43, is already serving a 46-month prison sentence that was imposed earlier this year, but has now been sentenced for attempting to break into a vehicle on October 27 last year.
He pleaded guilty to motor vehicle interference that took place in Colwall, which is on the border between Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The car he was trying to get into to either take, or take items from, was a Vauxhall Insignia.
He was not ordered to pay any compensation when he appeared in court last month as this was deemed inappropriate by magistrates in Worcester given that he is a serving prisoner.
Hewitt, of Manor Lane, Stourbridge, was sentenced to a further 26 weeks’ imprisonment for another offence when he appeared before magistrates on July 25, with the conviction of vehicle interference being taken into account.
