A Hereford drug and alcohol recovery service operations manager has been awarded for his "person-centred approach" and continued hard work across the county.
Chris Franks, who works for Turning Point Herefordshire, was celebrated at a recent ceremony for his devotion to communities across Herefordshire.
The seventh annual Inspired by Possibility Awards saw health and social care professionals from Turning Point commended for their continued work across the country.
The momentous ceremony, held at the Shard in London, saw 23 Turning Point employees collect awards for their continued commitment to the enterprise.
The event celebrated the achievements of staff members who support and help transform the lives of people facing challenges with alcohol, drugs, mental health and learning disabilities.
Chris has been described as continuously seeking "innovative ways to connect with the community and inspires them to join him on the journey."
Chris was also specifically acknowledged for his work with the Jammin’ Point Innovation Project, which aims to create a welcoming, friendly environment for self-expression through music.
“I feel really proud to have won this award,” Chris said.
“I want to give a shout out to the team as well as they are embracing the values of Turning Point and are really trying to embody what we want to achieve in the service.” He added.
Eoin Bolger, Regional Head of Operations Manager at Turning Point, said that Chris is a “credit to the organisation and fully deserving of this recognition”.
“Chris’s dedication to our values of encouraging new ideas and supporting growth is evident in his work.” He added.
Julie Bass, Turning Point chief executive officer said that the enterprise continued to go from “strength to strength”, with it recently celebrating its 60th anniversary.
“Our achievements would not be possible without the determination and hard work of our colleagues right across the organisation.
“Many congratulations to all the nominees and award winners. I am so proud of the incredible work that you do.” She added.
The award comes after another Hereford Turning Point employee, Dan Pearce, won the award for the Best Individual Nursing Practice Award in June, being described as an “outstanding member of the team”.
