A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been fined after driving despite his licence being revoked.
James Griffin was found guilty in his absence by magistrates in Worcester. He did not attend the hearing.
The court heard the 71-year-old had driven a BMW on the A40 in Herefordshire on November 2 last year after having his licence revoked due to disability on the same day.

West Mercia Police, prosecuting, said that he had driven a BMW on the A40 otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive the vehicle. They said the Secretary of State had revoked his licence under section 93 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 on November 2.
This meant that from November 2 onwards, he was not granted a licence to drive a motor vehicle and had therefore been driving illegally.
Griffin, of Redwood Close, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £120 and handed a discretionary disqualification of 28 days.
Griffin must also pay costs of £110 and a £48 victim surcharge.
