AN EVENT at a Herefordshire cider farm has raised thousands for local charities.
The 4 Amigos, Kenton Lloyd, Geoff Jenkins, Mark Wilcox and Wayne Jones, held a charity dance with live music from “Nice and Sleazy” on April 20.
The event was held at Gwatkin’s Cider, Abbeydore with over 300 people attending, and raised more than £5,000.
The 4 Amigos were thrilled with the turnout and would like to thank all those who bought tickets and donated money or prizes, with special thanks to hosts Dennis and Teresa Gwatkin for the superb spread of food and the excellent venue.

A charity auction, hosted by Owen Whittal, has been lauded as "very successful", with the lots including a discount voucher for The Mint House in Ross, where the 4 Amigos held a considerable number of important planning meetings.
Two local charities have benefited from cheques for £2,600 each. Dementia Matters HERE, a local Herefordshire charity, said the money will be enough to fund a memory cafe for 12 months, with a Golden Valley venue in the pipeline.
The other charity is St Michaels Hospice, which the 4 Amigos said does a brilliant job looking after people in need of hospice care and supporting their families.
