A ROAD leading to a popular Wye Valley beauty spot is closed as work is carried out over the new few weeks.
Forestry England said the hill leading to Symonds Yat Rock, on the Herefordshire border, from Goodrich and Huntsham Bridge, will be closed for several weeks, with a diversion in place taking drivers through Christchurch and Hillersland in the Forest of Dean.

In a public post on social media, Forestry England said that even travelling via the diversion, drivers will see "Road closed" signs, but will still be able to make it as far as the Symonds Yat Rock car park.
Hereford Times Camera Club member Tony Dell shared some snaps of the work taking place, warning: "The road is being dug up!"
According to Google Maps, the journey to Symonds Yat Rock from the nearby Herefordshire town of Ross-on-Wye usually takes around 20 minutes by car, but will now take 25 minutes with the diversion in place.
