I AM appalled at the action of the council and applaud Mr Sinclair for his perseverance in investigating this matter (Ledbury councillor claims war memorial work was ‘fraudulent’, November 4).

I was at a meeting two years ago where the council refused to apologise for their mishandling of the restoration.
They even said that they had nothing to apologise for, which is unbelievable and reprehensible.
