COULD the council explain why Porthouse Rise on the Tenbury Road in Bromyard got planning permission for 78 houses when there has never been a proper footpath installed from the estate to the town (Decision on controversial 120-home plan for Herefordshire town, October 25)?

It is impossible to push a pram and hold onto a toddler as the path is so narrow and the hedge is growing over it. There are huge tractors and trailers using that road all the time, just an accident waiting to happen.

The A44 is a much wider and safer road for a housing estate.

Seems the town council pick and choose what they want not what the town needs. The town is dying.
