The court heard from prosecutor Andy Saunders that the 37-year-old had been caught driving a Peugeot 207 without due care and attention on the B4214 at Bishops Frome in Herefordshire without due care and attention on March 24.
Mclean, of Sling Orchard, Bromyard, was fined £300 and received six penalty points for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea into account when deciding on the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £120 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
