THE protesters at Sequani were alerting others to the futility of animal testing (Animal lab protesters sentenced, September 28).
Animals' bodies and cells react differently to humans. It’s a waste of time testing something on an animal that is meant for a human.

We can eat chocolate, garlic, raisins and grapes which would make a dog poorly. Rats and mice can live in filthy places because their cells react differently to bacteria than ours. We would get ill very quickly if we lived in those conditions.
There are much better non-animal methods which relate to humans.
We need to get out of the dark ages of animal testing.
