A LANDMARK Herefordshire pub is looking for a new business partner.

The Trumpet Inn is by crossroads, with the A438 Hereford to Ledbury road in one direction, and the A417/A4172 Leominster to Preston Cross road in the other.

However, the pub is currently closed, with a note outside the venue saying it's 'due to staffing issues'.

A spokesperson for Wadworth, the brewery that operates the Trumpet, has since confirmed it is looking for new business partner and it is on its vacancy list.

"The new business partners here will ideally be an owner operator couple with a good level of catering experience and a passion for serving our casks ales to the highest standard," she said.

"A good knowledge of using social media platforms for generating business and promoting the campsite for the many tourists that visit the area would be advantageous.

The 15th century pub has a large car park and garden, with a camping field housing 10 electric hook ups.

According to the brewery, the estimated ingoing costs to run the pub is £20,000, with an £8,000 deposit required.
