MORE Herefordshire speeders have been fined by magistrates after they were caught breaking the limit.

Christopher Burns admitted one count of speeding to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard that the 71-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Citroen in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Weston under Penyard on January 15.

Burns, of Saunders Close, Lea, was fined £56 and received three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £28 and a £16 victim surcharge.

Jamie Christopher John Davies admitted one count of speeding to magistrates in Llanelli.

The court heard that the 32-year-old Volkswagen Tiguan driver had been caught speeding in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A470 in Brecon on February 12.

Davies, of Oaklands, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £40 and received three penalty points. He must also pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £16 victim surcharge.

Cristian Emanuel Dan was proven guilty of one count of speeding by magistrates in Llanelli.

The court heard that the 37-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel in a 40 miles per hour zone on the A438 Three Cocks to Glasbury on February 11.

Dan, of Escley Drive, Hereford, was fined £440 and received five penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £176 victim surcharge.
