POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a serious two-car head-on crash on the motorway.
At approximately 12.10am on August 24, a white Seat Arona and a black BMW 320D were involved in a crash on the M50 westbound near junction two between Ledbury and Tewkesbury.
Four people were taken to hospital by air ambulance with severe injuries and remain in critical condition.
The three occupants in the Seat had life-threatening injuries and were taken to Bristol Southmead Hospital.
The BMW driver had life-changing injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham.

The motorway was closed between junctions one and two for over 12 hours while emergency services attended the scene.
Police sergeant Michael Straughan said: "I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information or dash-cam footage which may help with the investigation, to call me on 101 extension 7722045 or by emailing dlhopuherefordb@westmercia.police.uk, quoting incident number 6i from August 24."
