A HEREFORDSHIRE pub is aiming to reopen ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Full Pitcher, in Ledbury, has been closed while Stonegate, the pub company that owns it, was looking for a new tenant and manager.

It was initially thought that the pub, which is situated in a prominent location off the Leadon Way and Ross Road roundabout, would be opening on July 31 after Shaun Bartley announced on the Voice of Ledbury Facebook page that he was taking it on, along with his partner, Sophie Knight.

However, the Full Pitcher has remained close ever since, with locals wondering when it would reopen. Stonegate has now confirmed that a new tenant has taken on the premises, and it planning on opening it this Friday (August 25) with new management in place.

The pub is popular with families thanks to its large garden with a children's play area. A Sunday carvery option has also helped draw in punters.

Stonegate said it can potentially turn over £561,999 a year, with a guide rent price being £942 a week.

"This delightful pub is focused towards delivering traditional family pub food offer and supported by a healthy bar trade offering a good selection of beers, cask ales and a diverse drinks and wine list," said the company.

"It has a well equipped commercial kitchen capable of delivering a quality food offer. The site also benefits form a large garden and patio areas as well as an external children's play area.

"The décor currently provides a more modern look and feel. It attracts passing trade, locals residents and destination diners from the surrounding towns and villages."
