IN response to the the letter by Mr West-Oram in which he suggested that our MP is capable of responding himself (Letters, July 20), then maybe he should be allowed to, without others jumping in.

At present he has chosen to not respond and that allows us to form our own opinions of why he did not vote for or against the findings of the House committee.
The chair of that committee may be a Labour MP and may be socialist in her views but she was elected to that position by the House with a Tory majority.
I shall leave it there.
