The court heard that the 67-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read, had illegally cultivated 15 cannabis plants at a property near Bromyard in Herefordshire between March 6 and 13.
The case was sent to the crown court for sentencing and White, of Hall Place Farm, Stoke Lacy, was released on unconditional bail.
The court ordered a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service ahead of his next hearing.
He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on August 30.
