A BANNED Herefordshire man has been up before the magistrates after he was caught with a woman in his flat.

Kevin Brooke entered a guilty plea to one count of harassment by breach of a restraining order when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in May.

The court heard from prosecutor Melanie Winterflood that the 54-year-old had, without reasonable exucse, breached a restraining order imposed by magistrates in May 2014 on May 23.

He had been in direct with a woman protected by the order who was in his flat in Ledbury, in breach of the prohibitions of the order, the court heard.

Brooke, of Lawnside Road, Ledbury, was fined £80 for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £100 and a £32 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
