A 26-YEAR-old man has been found guilty of driving without due care and attention on a city road. 

Jacob Rushgrove, of Waterworks Road, Worcester, was found guilty after a trial at Worcester Magistrates Court. 

The court heard Rushgrove committed the offence when he was driving a Robin Hood kit car on Bromyard Road, Worcester, on June 18 last year.

Rushrove also committed the offence of driving a car without insufficient tread on the tyres. 

Magistrates heard the rear off-side wheel's tyre of the Robin Hood did not meet the required depth of at least 1.6mm. 

For driving without due care and attention Rushgrove was fined £562 and received six penalty points on his driving record.

For having tyres with insufficient tread Rushgrove was fined £562.

The defendant was also ordered to pay costs of £600 and £225 victim surcharge. 

Rushgrove was told to pay the total, £1,949, in full by June 21.

The case was heard at the court on May 24.
