MAGISTRATES in Hereford have issued a police warrant to arrest a number of people who failed to turn up to court last week.

Tyrone Biddle, Andrew Saxelby, Gintaras Karciauskas and Andre Kvec were all due to attend Hereford Magistrates Court last Wednesday (May 24).

Biddle, of Ridgemoor Road, Leominster, had been charged with driving an Orange Ford Fusion on Bridge Street in the town while having 73 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine in his blood, a metabolite of cocaine - above the legal limit of 50mg. 

The 24-year-old was also charged with not having a driving licence or third party insurance to drive the vehicle when stopped on January 17.

Meanwhile, Saxelby, aged 60, of Traherne Close, Ledbury, was charged after being nearly three times the drink-drive limit.

He was stopped on the A438 in Ledbury on April 25, with toxicology reports coming back with 99 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.

Karaciauskias, of no fixed abode, was due to appear in court after being charged with stealing a number of items from Tesco in Hereford.

The 28-year-old is accused of stealing a packet of BBQ chicken, valued at £3.90, two crates of Stella Artois beer costing £29.98, meat and salmon that cost a total of £46.55 and eight packets of steak. The offences happened between March 31 and April 17. 

Elsewhere, Kvec, aged 29, of Washwood Heath Road, Birmingham, is accused of stealing £350 worth of notes from Tesco in Ledbury on November 7, 2019.
