A DRINK-driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught out in a busy Hereford city centre street.
Jihad Najmalddin entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in May.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 30-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Andrew Cleal, had been caught out in Hereford's Blueschool Street after getting behind the wheel of a blue Renault Clio while over the drink-drive limit on April 2.

An evidential breath test revealed that he had 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Najmalddin, of Bridge Road, Holme Lacy, was fined £338 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 14 months, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay a £135 victim surcharge, but no costs order was imposed due to his means.
