A BEER thief has been handed a conditional discharge after stealing alcohol from a Hereford Tesco supermarket.
Aidan Bufton entered a guilty plea to one count of theft from a shop when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in May.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 29-year-old had stolen a case of Corona beer worth £12.99 from a Hereford Tesco supermarket on April 5.

Bufton, of Roman Road, Hereford, was handed a six-month conditional discharge for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to a decision.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £12.99 to Tesco, and a £26 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
No order was made for prosecution costs to be paid.
