The court heard from the prosecutor that the 78-year-old had displayed a blue disabled parking badge in his car and had used the car in circumstances where a disabled person’s concession would have been available to a disabled person’s vehicle when he was not entitled to do so in Ross-on-Wye on January 25.
Hawkins, of Corinium Road, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £220 for the offence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
