A YOUNG girl aged was assaulted near Tesco in Hereford city centre last night (Saturday).
Police say that the child, who is aged four or five, was with her father in Bewell Street when the attack happened at around 7.15pm.
A man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and for assault. He remains in police custody.

Officers want to speak to a man who intervened to come forward and speak to them, or anyone who was in the area and saw what happened.
