A WOMAN has been reported for prosecution for careless or inconsiderate driving after a crash on a busy Herefordshire main road.

Police and firefighters were called to the crash, which involved a Range Rover and a white van on the A44 at Bredenbury, near Bromyard, on April 21.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was also called to the scene, PC Michael Hoare, spokesperson for Bromyard Safer Neighbourhood Team, said.

"Luckily on this occasion, nobody was injured," PC Hoare said. 

"However the road was closed for a significant amount of time to allow for the road to be cleared of debris and both vehicles to be safely recovered.

"A 50-year-old woman from the West Midlands was consequently reported for prosecution for careless or inconsiderate driving.

"Thanks to all that remained patient with us whilst we dealt with the scene."
