YOUR correspondent from Leominster, who complained about the awful service on the Marches Line (Transport for Wales 'ignoring' dangers of overcrowded Hereford trains), is quite right to complain about the standard of service provided by Transport for Wales.
Throughout Wales and the Marches, potential passengers are being turned away by the prospect of crowded or late trains... when they turn up at all, that is.

The problem stems from the unavailability of their class 175 diesel multiple units, languishing in depots while awaiting substantial repairs. It is possible that none of these will be available in the short term, so that Transport for Wales has a shortage of rolling stock.
At Campaign for Rail, we are disappointed that Transport for Wales doesn’t seek out other available rolling stock which could be available in the short term, and which could provide temporary relief from this nightmare.
