The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Paul John that the 20-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Chris Read, had assaulted two men by beating in an incident in Ross-on-Wye on June 16.

Clement, of Whitecross Road in Hereford, was fined £101 and ordered to pay compensation of £100 to each of the victims, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty pleas into account when deciding on the penalty.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £300 and a £41 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
