A CHARACTERFUL pub in a Herefordshire village is set to go to auction next month as the hunt for a new landlord continues.

The Balance Inn in Luston is on the market with agents Sidney Phillips.

Landlady Elizabeth Ravenhill said last year the pub had been put on the market as she is ready to retire.

The pub is now set to go to auction at a guide price of £295,000.

The inn is described as a "charming and characterful rural pub with everything you would expect in the Herefordshire countryside."

It comes complete with exposed beams, open fires, and an "unspoilt interior".

The current owners serve up a range of local ales from Wye Valley Brewery, Hobsons, and Ludlow, alongside guest ales from both near and fire.

They also offer a range of stone-baked pizzas and handmade burgers along with pub classics including steaks, curries, pies, and bar snacks.

Hereford Times:

The pub has a three section bar and restaurant facilities, a games and function room, and four bed owners accommodation.

Outside are good-sized gardens and car parking.

A public auction to sell the pub will be held at The Balance Inn at 2.30pm on April 13, 2023, agents Sidney Phillips said.
