The court heard from the prosecutor that the 32-year-old had entered a First Great Western train for the purpose of travelling at Bristol Parkway station without a valid ticket entitling him to travel on that train on October 4 last year, contrary to railway bye-laws.
Szukaiski, of Emperor Way in Hereford, was fined £200 for the offence and ordered to pay compensation of £126.50 to rail operator First Great Western.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £180 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
