A HEREFORDSHIRE electrician who exceeded expectations has achieved prestigious industry recognition, her employers say.

Goodridge Electrical Contractors, based in Cradley, near Ledbury, said it is a small business and was proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our employees.

It said Amy Lister, one of its exceptional team members, had been named one of two JTL regional electrical award winners for the western region.

Ms Lister has been with the company since starting her apprenticeship and the company said she had worked hard to achieve this prestigious recognition.

JTL, a work-based learning provider in the building services engineering sector across England and Wales, picks the regional winners based on their exceptional performance during their apprenticeship programme, the firm said.

Hereford Times:

"Amy exceeded expectations in the building services engineering sector, demonstrated commitment to personal development and progression, and displayed inspirational qualities throughout her apprenticeship.

As a regional winner, Ms Lister will receive a prize of £100 and an engraved glass trophy and will also automatically qualify as a finalist for the JTL National Awards 2023, which will take place at the Victory Services Club in London on June 28.

Neil Hammersley, learner assessment manager for JTL's western region, along with Oliver Schofield, Ms Lister's training officer, will present her with the engraved glass trophy at her workplace in April.

"We are proud to have Amy as part of our team and are thrilled to see her hard work and dedication recognised in this way," the firm, based in Hill View, added.
