A HEREFORD man has been sent for trial accused of breaching sex offender register rules.

Callum Davies admitted one count of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and one count of failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford in February.

He denied a second count of failing to comply with notification requirements of the sex offenders register.

The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 23-year-old had used a 'private' browser which prevented the internet history from being retained on an internet-enabled device between October 4 and 6, which he was prohibited from doing by a sexual harm prevention order made by Hereford Crown Court on February 8, 2019.

He had also failed without reasonable excuse as a relevant offender to tell police that he had been using the alias name Callum Derring within three days, in breach of notification requirements, the court heard.

The case was sent for trial and Davies, of Eardisley Close, Hereford, was released on unconditional bail.

He will appear before magistrates in Hereford next for trial on April 24.
