The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 23-year-old is accused of assaulting a man, causing him actual bodily harm, in an incident in Hereford on December 16.
He is also accused of intentionally or recklessly destroying a £300 set of Bose headphones belonging to the same person in Hereford on December 16.
Taylor entered not guilty pleas to both charges.
The case was sent for trial and Taylor, of Eign Street, Hereford, was released on bail with a condition banning him from contacting the alleged victim.
He will appear before magistrates in Hereford for trial on April 3.
