AN EMERGENCY lane closure is in force on a busy Hereford main road for repairs to a burst water main.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said Welsh Water has liaised with the local highway authority to agree a lane closure in Edgar Street in Hereford city centre while workers carry out essential repairs to a burst water main in the highway.
The lane closure is necessary to protect workforce as well as the public and motorists, the spokesperson said.
"Teams are on site repairing the burst water main, we will work as quickly as possible to get the work done and reopen the lane.

According to Welsh Water, supplies are expected to be fully restored this afternoon.
The works are taking place outside the Old Market Development in the street.
