A HEREFORD man has been sent to the crown court after admitting making indecent images of children.

Gary Godsall entered a guilty plea to one count of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in February.

The court heard from prosecutor Valerie Hart that the 50-year-old had made indecent category C photographs of a child in Hereford between December 3, 2022, and January 18, 2023.

The case was sent to the crown court for sentencing, with a pre-sentencing report ordered to be carried out by the probation service, and Godsall, of Harvey Road in Hereford, was remanded in custody.

No requirement to register pursuant to section 83 Sexual Offences Act 2003 was made as the defendant is already subject to such a requirement.

Godsall, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Vaughan Whistance, will appear before Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on March 10.
