A BANNED driver has been sent for trial after denying driving without insurance and obstructing police.
Andrew Gilbert entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while disqualified and denied one count of driving without insurance and two of obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of their duty.
The court heard from prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 45-year-old defendant had been caught out after getting behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Combi van on the A49 in Moreton on Lugg while disqualified from driving on December 29.
