KINGTON ward councillor Terry James is one of few councillors who understand the consequences to residents from the mismanagement of Herefordshire Council.

The present coalition of Independents and Greens is fixated in its aversion to motorists using the roads and streets of Hereford.

After cancelling the bypass they spent millions and workforce time on little-used cycle lanes, moss filters and giant plant boxes while the streets are littered with weeds and rubbish.

RELATED NEWS:

Next in the pipeline is the closure of East Street and other minor city roads to through traffic, forcing more traffic and pollution on the city’s already congested remaining roads.

Following the cancellation of the bypass, they have failed to bring forward any workable plan to manage the increasing traffic issues in Hereford.

Thousands of houses are under construction north and west of the city.

Traffic generated will have to use the A438 Brecon Road and or the A49 to access the city.

OTHER LETTERS:

The majority of employment opportunities are likely to be located in Rotherwas and the city.

The resulting increased traffic will likely bring the A49 to a complete standstill during peak hours. School runs and shopping trips will add to the mayhem throughout the day.
