A TEENAGER has been sent to the crown court accused of raping a girl in Hereford.

Harley Dixon, who was represented by solicitor Marilena Di Vitantonio, appeared before magistrates in Hereford in January accused of one count of raping a girl aged under 13.

The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 19-year-old is accused of raping a girl aged under 13 in Hereford between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2020.

Dixon, who wore a grey hoodie, and a black coat, trainers, and trousers to the hearing, did not enter a plea to the charge.

The case was sent to the crown court and Dixon, who is of Oak Road in Credenhill, was released on unconditional bail ahead of his next hearing.

He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on February 22.
