I WISH to say a big thank-you to the young woman, Tasha, who stopped on Greyfriars Bridge, Hereford, on Saturday, January 21, when my car broke down and used her phone to contact the AA and police.
I was concerned for my 92-year-old mother’s health and after waiting over half an hour a police officer travelling in the opposite direction turned his car around and took my mother home, giving her a drink and soup while we waited for the AA.

- Hereford city centre is filthy thanks to these people
He went above and beyond his duty. Unfortunately, I didn’t take his name but they were both a godsend, especially on such a terribly cold and foggy day.
Many, many thanks to you both for your kind assistance.
