A REPEAT offender has been banned from the roads after he was caught using a phone and without a licence or insurance on a busy Hereford main road.
Jordan Lee Belmont was proven guilty of one count of using a handheld mobile phone while driving, one of using a vehicle on a road or public place without insurance, and one of driving without a licence by magistrates in Worcester in January.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 25-year-old had been caught out using a handheld mobile phone while behind the wheel of a Citroen on the A465 Belmont Road in Hereford on May 19.
He had also been driving the car without a licence authorising him to drive a vehicle of that class and without a valid third party insurance policy in place in Hereford's Belmont Road on the same date, the court heard.
Belmont, who is of Olive Terrace in Porth, Mid-Glamorgan, was fined a total of £1,100 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months, with magistrates saying a ban was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He also received six penalty points and must pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £110 victim surcharge.
