FREEZING fog has hit Herefordshire this morning, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning for fog is in force this morning (January 24) for the county.
The warning, which came into force at 4.20am, will remain in place until 10.30am, the Met Office said.
The Met Office said areas of freezing fog have formed and will be dense at times and slow to clear from some places today.
Visibility as low as 50 to 100 metres is likely in a few areas, forecasters warned, while untreated surfaces could turn icy.
"This combination resulting in potentially difficult driving conditions," the Met Office said.
What does this mean for me?
The Met Office said to expect slower journey times this morning, with delays to bus and train services possible.
Weather forecast
Temperatures are set to remain in minus figures in Herefordshire until around 10am this morning.
The Met Office said it will be murky start for some as freezing fog patches slowly clear.
For other areas, it will be a frosty but dry and bright morning with the potential for sunny spells this afternoon.
It will feel cold, particularly in foggier areas, with a maximum temperature of 5 °C.
